When I was a teen, my dad used to always say, "remember who you are." I never really understood what he meant until I was an adult, and then I realized that he was telling me to never give in just to fit in. To stay true to who I am and what I believe in. He was encouraging me to not be swayed by external factors or "popular" opinion, and to stand up for myself and follow my heart. Once I understood that, my life became much simpler. So thanks, dad! Love you!
My dad is a man of few words, but where he makes up for that is through his actions. I learned by watching him that you can achieve anything through hard work, commitment and the passion to succeed. He is living proof that success is not defined by where you came from, but by the strength and love you have to create something amazing. The love and appreciation I have for my father grows every year and I hope to be half the man that he is. I love you dad, couldn't do it without you!
